Individualized ED Treatment

Just as you are unique, so is your treatment plan. Recognizing your individuality is the first step to ensuring quality eating disorder treatment. An eating disorder for many people, especially after years of living with it, often becomes an identity–a way of living in the world, avoiding fear, having control, and feeling safe. It can become difficult to remember who you were prior to your disorder. Rosewood helps you to face your fears, acknowledge the hurt, and help you re-connect with who you truly are while seeking anorexia treatment, bulimia treatment, binge eating treatment, or treatment for co-occurring disorders. We’ll help you on your journey to recovery by understanding you as an individual and developing your own unique treatment plan. This plan is your roadmap for a successful recovery. It reflects your goals, aspirations, preferences and abilities.

I was given the gift of living a life where I feel like I am worthy of living.

Your Individualized Treatment Plan is All About You

One of the most important factors that sets Rosewood apart is that we take time to learn about you as a complete person, to understand the experiences, struggles, strengths and fears that make you unique. Instead of  a predetermined treatment plan that tries to fit all patients with the same disorder, we develop a plan specifically tailored to give you the best opportunity for lasting recovery. We have the experience, knowledge, empathy and compassion to treat your disorder in a way that will work best for you. We’ll be right there with you every step of the way. Our programs treat the whole person–mind, body and spirit–to address your disorder and the underlying issues that allowed it to develop. Your progress will be evaluated periodically, so the plan can be modified as needed to account for any changes in your status. We’ll also encourage you to celebrate your milestones and successes along the way. Just as we’ll be right by your side, you’ll also develop close bonds with others in their own treatment programs at the same time and place. You’ll be part of a fellowship built on healing and recovery, each person following their own individual path, everyone regaining their strength and identity together. That fellowship is an amazing resource during your treatment and, for most patients, long afterward. Many of the friendships formed at Rosewood turn into lifelong bonds.

Your Multidisciplinary Team

To help you follow your individualized treatment plan, you’ll be assigned your own multidisciplinary treatment team based on your physical and emotional needs. Their task is to identify and address any barriers to recovery, while providing you with the tools necessary for success. The team meets several times throughout each week. Your multidisciplinary team of experts might include some or all of the following:

  • Psychiatrist
  • Physician
  • Master’s level eating disorder therapist
  • Addiction specialist
  • Registered dietitian
  • Nursing staff

Your team members are deeply interested in your progress and will be supporting your recovery continuously. They’re professionals you can confide in, share with. They know your journey to recovery is difficult. Many have been there themselves. Their support for you is unconditional, genuine and nonjudgmental.

We are here to help you.
