Michelle Klinedinst, MS, CEDS
Executive Vice President
Michelle Klinedinst has devoted her career to helping individuals overcome their eating disorders, addictions and self-destructive behaviors to live healthier, happier lives. With more than 30 years of administrative and clinical experience specializing in eating disorders treatment, addictions and mental health issues, she offers a wide range of experience and understanding in her role as Executive Vice President overseeing and directing staff, facility and patient care. Prior to leading the Rosewood team since 2002, Michelle was Executive Director for Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Center in Antigua, West Indies where she designed and implemented all treatment programs. Michelle holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, and has earned a postgraduate Certification in Addiction Studies from Chestnut Hill College Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been a Certified Addictions Counselor since 1984 and a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist since 1996. Michelle was trained in Psychodrama at the Moreno Academy of Psychodrama in Beacon, New York and Horsham Hospital in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
She is also the President of The Palm Beach Institute, Rosewood's sister chemical dependency treatment center in West Palm Beach Florida, overseeing operations and clinical programming. In addition, she is President of Rosewood's California-based Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, A New Journey Eating Disorder Center.
Steven J. Karp, DO, FACN
Chief Medical Officer
Steven J Karp is the Chief Medical Officer of Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders. Triple Board certified in Adult, Addiction and Geriatric psychiatry, Dr Karp brings twenty years experience treating psychiatric and addictive disorders to the eating disorder field. Dr Karp was Medical Director for the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where his influential project discontinued the use of physical restraints as it determined restraints could replicate previous trauma, which would impede recovery. Dr Karp graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at Norristown State Hospital, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Dr Karp combines his psychiatric skills, psychoanalytic knowledge, and motivational interviewing to support people towards lasting change. As an expert in the treatment of eating disorders, Dr Karp speaks regularly at national and regional conferences.
Steven Dulla, MD
Medical Director of Acute Care & Adult Residential
Dr. Dulla has been recognized as a “Top Doc” in Phoenix Magazine several times in addition to being chosen as “Best Doctors in America.” In 2009 he was awarded the Gratitude Lifetime Achievement Recognitions Award by Sierra Tucson.Dr. Dulla is board certified in psychiatry and certified by Examination in Addiction Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Drake University College of Pharmacy. After working the field of pharmacy Dr. Dulla decided to return to Medical school, he attended Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic. He completed his residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix and had a private practice in Chandler, AZ for over 20 years.Dr. Dulla grew up in Riverside, IL and on the times that he isn’t spending his free time with his wife, children and grandchildren, he enjoys showing his support to the Chicago Cubs and to college basketball.
Daniella Reid, MD
Medical Director of Adolescent Services
Prior to joining Rosewood, Dr. Reid worked at the Gatehouse Academy, a dual diagnosis residential treatment program for adolescents as the chief psychiatrist and has served as a staff psychiatrist with St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center and Arizona State Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Reid held a private practice in Illinois for more than 13 years and served as director of admissions at a major psychiatric center on the south side of Chicago before moving to Arizona. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois. She is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Arizona and a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
Diane Juillard, DO
Primary Care Physician
Diane Juillard comes to Rosewood with 20 years of experience as a physician. She is currently Director of the Physical Therapy Department at Wickenburg Regional Medical Center where she also worked for over 16 years in the Emergency Department, and over 10 years treating eating disorders. Dr. Juillard developed an interest in eating disorders as a result of seeing patients in her 20 year private practice struggling with the disease. Dr. Juillard is on staff at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Juillard graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She earned her M.A. in Chemistry from Arizona State University and graduated from the medical school at Western University of Health in Pomona, California. She is a board certified D.O. in Family Practice and has certifications in ACLS and PALS.
Lee R Neagle, MA
Program Administrator
As the program administrator, Lee manages the day-to-day activities of the staff and residents at all levels of care. Lee obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lakeland College and his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University. Prior to joining the Rosewood team Lee worked and trained at Rogers Memorial hospital in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin where he developed his passion for treating eating disorder clients. In college, he was a member of the Psi Chi national honor society and his thesis “Stress and its effect on meal consumption and composition: a naturalistic study” was accepted with distinction from Cardinal Strict University. He has also been published in Best practices in Mental Health on the topic "Is Residential Care an Effective Approach to Treat Adolescents with Co-occurring Substance Abuse and Mental Health Diagnoses?"
Libby Neal, MA, LPC
Executive Clinical Director of Training & Education
Libby Neal, MA, LPC is the Executive Clinical Director of Training & Education at Rosewood Center for Eating Disorders. As Director of Treatment Services for a year and a half, Libby was an integral part of the growth and development of Rosewoods adolescent and adult clinical departments. In furthering Rosewoods well established center of excellence, Libby’s new role finds her writing curriculum, establishing research projects and creating The Rosewood Institute for Eating Disorder Training. She earned her Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, with a specialization in Art Therapy, from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Libby completed Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training from the Denver Institute of Psychoanalysis and University of Colorado Health Sciences Psychiatric Department. Libby combines evidence based practices of EMDR and DBT to enhance her use of mindfulness skills, art therapy, and psychodynamic theories by empowering people toward lasting positive change. Libby brings twenty years of experience working with Eating Disorders, severe attachment issues, complex traumas, family systems and chronic mental illnesses. Along with university teaching experience and multiple conference presentations, Libby was selected to participate in a SAMHSA National Child Traumatic Stress Network Grant from 2002-2004. Libby is clinical consultant for Beauty Mark, a documentary film that chronicles a female elite athletes’ struggle with anorexia nervosa. Libby is a member of the American Art Therapy and Arizona Art Therapy Association. In her free time, Libby can be found creating landscape paintings or playing with her two dogs.
Megan Kniskern, MS, RD
Executive Clinical Nutrition Director
Megan is the Executive Clinical Nutrition Director at Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders. Megan brings ten years of experience working with children and adults in eating disorders and wellness programs. Believing the body mind connection is an important part of recovery, Megan is a certified yoga instructor who combines mindfulness practices with traditional nutritional models. Megan has taught at university level and is a popular guest speaker around the country.
Shaul Austin, M.Ed., LPC
Clinical Director, Acute Care
Shaul Austin, M.Ed, LPC, is the Clinical Director of Acute Care for Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders. Shaul brings twenty three years clinical experience working with addictions, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD. He has held various academic positions related to epidemiology and behavioral consequences of addictions including adjunct professor in behavioral sciences at Webster University, Netherlands and assistant professor at Shreveport and New Orleans School of Medicine in the Louisiana State Health Sciences Center, Louisiana State University. Shaul worked in the employee assistance program contracted to the Department of Defense where he provided psychological services to all branches of the military. Shaul’s enthusiasm for his work is grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for long lasting change through recognition of mind, body and spirit.
Hunter Taylor, MS, LCP
Clinical Director, Adult Services
Hunter Taylor, MS, LCP is the Clinical Director of Rosewood's adult services. Hunter brings 36 years of experience working in eating disorders, addictions, psycho-education and mental health management to Rosewood. Believing the modality of psychodrama is an important component of recovery, Hunter regularly conducts and attends professional trainings, as well as, conducts workshops for ONSITE in Tennessee. Hunter holds a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Fort Hays State University, in Fort Hayes, Kansas.
Dena Cabrera, Psy.D, CEDS
Clinical Director, Adolescent Services
Dr. Dena Cabrera is the clinical director of adolescent services where she manages the day to day activities of our residents and staff. She also speaks regularly on behalf of Rosewood on eating disorder prevention and treatment at the national and international level. Prior to joining Rosewood, she worked at Remuda Ranch and served in roles that included Clinical Specialist, Staff Psychologist, Director of Educational Outreach and member of the National Speaker’s Bureau.
Dr. Cabrera has a diverse clinical background involving individual, family and group therapy with both medical and psychiatric populations. She has particular professional interests and specialized training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as the cognitive-behavioral treatment of patients with neuro-developmental disorders, behavioral problems, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
Dr. Cabrera received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and both a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and a Psy.D. Degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Academy of Eating Disorders and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
Amie Celender, MS, LMFT
Clinical Director, Outpatient Services
Amie Celender, MS, LMFT is the Clinical Director for Rosewood Centers Outpatient Services and has been part of the team since 2008. She obtained her BA with a dual major in Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University and earned her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Amie brings her expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship counseling and problem-centered family therapy to Rosewood. She has also worked extensively with women’s issues, body image, and trauma through employment from the Victims of Crime Act Federal Grant from 2004-2007 which provided clinical services for women who had been sexually abused or assaulted during their lifetime. Amie uses a wide variety of interventions when working with clients including EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Experiential, Internal Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
MaryLou Greene, RN
Director of Nursing
MaryLou has worked as a Registered Nurse at Rosewood since 2004, first as a Charge Nurse in direct patient care and currently as Director of Nursing. With expertise gained over 30 years in the nursing profession, MaryLou has been able to develop, train and supervise a team of Registered Nurses and Nurse Technicians who provide expert care to Rosewood's residents. With an emphasis on professionalism, quality of care, and compassion, MaryLou continues to promote professional development within her staff and to maintain the highest standards of professional nursing care within the Nursing Department.
Ethan LeFever
Director of Intake, Admissions and UR
As Director of Intake, Admissions and UR, Ethan manages the day-to-day operation of the on-site Intake, Admissions and UR department at Rosewood. He plays an integral role in performing pre-admission assessments and evaluations and works with potential residents to determine the appropriate level of care. As part of the Rosewood team since 2004, Ethan strives to provide residents and families in need a stead fast, honest person to rely on for support in the road to recovery and healing from eating disorders. Prior to joining Rosewood’s team, he worked at Merv Griffin’s Child Help USA Facility. He is currently studying to become a Registered Nurse.
Hans Wilkes
Director of Human Resources
Hans Wilkes has been Director of Human Resource for Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders since 2008. Hans brings twenty years of experience managing companies including operations, quality control, and personnel departments. Hans’ leadership abilities and dedication to employee development allows him to be an integral part of Rosewood’s remarkable expansion. Hans supports the staff through implementing policy and procedure, building employee morale and strategizing with management teams to help create the dynamic work environment found at Rosewood. Having close ties to Wickenburg for the majority of his life, Hans enjoys a loving family that includes his wife, three boys and two daughters.
