Family Program Guidelines
Rules and Procedures
- All items brought in for the residents must be checked by the Nursing Staff
- Upon nursing clearance, residents will receive the items
- No pets allowed on the premises
- No visitors are allowed in the resident rooms
- Prior permission for patients must be received before leaving the grounds with family members
- No food is allowed to be brought onto the grounds
- No visitors may receive medications from staff
- Smoking is allowed in a designated area only: please consult staff
- Being under the influence of mood altering drugs is prohibited
- Exhibiting inappropriate behaviors may be deemed a condition for dismissal from the Family Program
Orientation
Family program begins on Monday morning at 10:00am. If you are going to be late, please contact Rosewood at 928-684-9594.
Appropriate dress
To avoid distraction from our primary purpose, residents, staff and family are requested to dress appropriately, comfortable, casual and in good taste. Therefore, the following items are discouraged: bathing suits, halter-like tops, lack of shoes, short skirts, short shorts, see-through clothing, unbuttoned shirts, or tee shirts with suggestive or inappropriate messages. If you have any concerns, please consult the family therapist.
Directions to Wickenburg
From Sky Harbor Airport, take I-17 north toward Flagstaff. Go west on Carefree Highway, #74, for about 30 miles. When it comes to a dead end, turn right onto Highway 60 toward Wickenburg. Go west on Highway 60 toward Wickenburg until you reach a roundabout. Turn left at roundabout going under the "Welcome to Historic Wickenburg" sign onto US 60/Wickenburg Way. Proceed on Wickenburg Way approximately one mile until you reach 776 West Wickenburg Way (located 1/4 block before Mariposa Rd.) Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Family Week will be held in the front building.
Family Visits
Visiting hours for Rosewood patients is allowed only during family week from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sundays on our campus. If you would like to visit with your family members on the Sunday before and/or after Family Program, please ask your family member to discuss this with her Primary Therapist to arrange a visitor’s pass.
The Treatment Team may authorize a Therapeutic Family pass on the Friday after Family Program. Friday pass hours are 12:00/12:30 to 3:00pm. Residents and family members may visit off-grounds, but only in the immediate Wickenburg area. For clinical reasons, Residents will only be given Therapeutic Family passes to visit off-grounds with family members or friends who have completed the Family Program. Other restrictions and conditions may apply depending on the individual needs of each patient. Pass requests must be submitted by the patient to his or her Primary Therapist no later than Tuesday evening.
